LawyerlinQ

Demand and supply platform for the legal sector

LawyerlinQ is a platform designed to revolutionize the Dutch legal market. Many law firms and corporate legal departments struggle to quickly find and deploy the right available freelance lawyers. Enter LawyerlinQ: the platform facilitates the hiring process of flexible legal staff across the entire Dutch market and elevates this process to the highest level.

Quickly hire legal talent with your own flex pool

Through the platform, clients can quickly and easily find the right legal freelancer for their needs. Each client has their own community with a flex pool of trusted freelance lawyers where they can safely post their assignments. They can assemble this pool themselves, or it can be done upon request by the experts at LawyerlinQ. Often, there is a response within 24 hours, and a match can be quickly and easily made via the platform. This coordination takes place in a one-on-one chat, where questions and details are discussed.

No match within 24 hours? Then the LawyerlinQ team helps find the right candidate. This way, the assignment can easily be transferred to the entire pool of talent at LawyerlinQ, without sharing critical business information.

The 4 Product Principles of LawyerlinQ

  1. Clients have little time. Ask as few actions as possible from the client.
Clients have little time, and assignments are often urgent. Therefore, the time to reach the right match is the most important metric. During the design process, it is continuously considered how the design can help relieve the client. For example, clients can use templates so they can quickly and easily submit their request.

  2. Encourage to cast the net wide
Clients are used to sending their request to a few freelancers whom they know can handle the issue. The platform changes this, as experience shows: cast your net wide, and the right specialist will emerge. Clients often do not know the expertise and experience the lawyers in their flexible pool have, and as a result, they might miss a potential match. The platform is designed to encourage the client to cast the net wide. Thus, the request is standardly sent to the entire flexible pool, but we do offer the option to narrow the group using smart filters. It is also possible to manually compile mailing lists that make it easy to quickly send assignments to a specific selection.

  3. Get the right match as quickly as possible
The platform helps with choosing the right match. You can easily compare multiple candidates in a clear comparison table. Clients can also share the information within their organization in a GDPR-compliant manner to make the right decision together with colleagues. And if it is not possible to find a candidate within 24 hours, the LawyerlinQ team can easily forward the request to the entire pool of legal talent without sharing sensitive company information.

  4. Enable the conversation between lawyer and client as quickly as possible.
Technology greatly aids in speed and efficiency, but the core of finding a good match remains a human relationship. Therefore, the chat function is central to finding the match. The platform is designed to bring demand and supply together in a conversation as quickly as possible, where the lawyer and client can jointly discuss whether it is the right match.

Multi-tenant platform

The platform is multi-tenant, which means that multiple communities run on a single shared codebase but only have access to their own data. Moreover, LawyerlinQ has the ability to create new communities themselves, each with its own look and feel.

Laravel Nova + headless frontend

The back-end of the system is developed based on Laravel Nova and offers extensive capabilities for managing users and permissions. The entire platform, including all communities and the content within, can be centrally managed, including moderation functions. The front-end is custom-made with Vue.js, and the architecture is headless using REST APIs and GraphQL.

Powerful integrations

Authentication and authorization are handled by Auth0, allowing this to be done in a simple and secure manner. A powerful search functionality based on Algolia enhances the user experience, while multilingualism makes the platform accessible to diverse user groups.

LawyerlinQ complies with all ISO 27001 standards, and an external pentest is conducted annually to ensure security.

Continuous development

The collaboration within the development team follows the scrum framework, with a dedicated external product owner overseeing and coordinating the project. After starting with a GV design sprint, the first version of the platform was released in 2018. Since then, we continuously work on improving and expanding the platform based on user insights and new opportunities.

Recently, we added a bidding system that allows the client to issue a task with one or more rounds. After sending the task, the client receives responses and rate indications from interested lawyers through this system. This allows the client to make a comparison, make a pre-selection, and ultimately make a final choice between the submitted offers.
